The benchmark December contract of silver on the MCX began today at Rs 72,230, down Rs 22. This contract was trading at a price of Rs 72,094 at the time of jotting, a fall of Rs 158. It had reached the day’s high of Rs 72,230 and the day’s low of Rs 72,010 per kilogram at this point.

The surge in gold and silver futures prices began with a rise in the international market. However, slowness became apparent later on. On the Comex, gold opened at $ 1999.40 per ounce. The prior day’s close was $1999.30. However, at the time of writing, it was trading at $ 1991.80 per ounce, a $ 7.40 decrease. Comex silver futures opened at $23.33, with the previous closing price at $23.28. It was trading at $ 23.24 per ounce at the time of writing the article, a $ 0.04 decrease.
