Kalaburagi Police Arrested 7 People involved in Malpractice during Exam

The Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA) administered exams to fill vacancies on various State-owned boards and corporations.

On Saturday, the Kalaburagi police arrested 7 people for exam malpractice using Bluetooth devices at a college run by Mahanteshwar Vidyavardhak Sangh in Afzalpur, Kalaburagi district.

The police received specific information about the crime and quickly apprehended the perpetrators. Kalaburagi Superintendent of Police Mr.Aduru Srinivasulu said this at a press conference held at his office on Sunday. “When we received information about the crime, we acted cautiously. During the interrogation, we arrested two suspects who shared the names of three candidates who used Bluetooth for testing purposes.”

Mr.Srinivasulu also said that “The candidates writing the examination were Akash Mantale from Bidar, SantoshYalagi from Jewargi, and Babu Chand Sheikh from Sonna, and the people who were illegally assisting the candidates through Bluetooth were Gururaj, Vijayakumar, Ganesh, and Bapu Yalagi”.

“The possibility of more people being involved in the scam cannot be ruled out.” We have increased our investigation to learn all of the facts. If we can apprehend Asif Bhagvan and R.D. Patil, we will be able to shed more light on the scam and get to the bottom of it,” Mr. Srinivasulu said.

On Sunday, he said, security was tightened even more at the examination centers, and every candidate was thoroughly checked before being allowed into the examination hall.

“On Sunday, no malpractice was reported.” “We increased police presence and tightened security,” he said.
