According to COMK Daily Weather Update 4th Nov.’23 As a fresh spell of Thunderstorm close in over Chennai and suburbs a detailed post on why over the next couple of days Coastal may see widespread rains. Under the influence of the circulation in Arabian Sea few places in West TN may see heavy rains today while few places along the Ghats may see heavy to very heavy rains. As far as Chennai and suburbs go there is a very high chance most of the places could see 50 to 100 mm rains over the next 24 hours or so starting today morning. Stay updated accordingly.

Heavy Rain Alert in Chennai and Kerala

Heavy rain may occur around Chennai and suburbs in roughly one hour from now with few places coming under heavy spell of rains at times. Meanwhile some of the interior areas of Tamil Nadu may benefit from the remnant thunderstorms that have moved inland from the coastal areas. South TN and delta dts may see fresh spell of rains in a few hours from now.

Due to Heavy rains in Chennai, Schools declared holiday.
