India will resume visa services for some categories in Canada today
The Indian High Commission in Ottawa announced on Wednesday that India will resume visa services for certain groups in Canada on October 26. below:
1. Immigration visa
2. Business visa
3. Medical visa and
4. Conference visa .
Just a few days ago, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar said on Sunday that India is considering resuming its visa program for Canadians “soon” if the security of agents in Canada improves.
Indian officials said: “Due to safety and security concerns, the Indian High Commission in Ottawa and its Consulates General in Toronto and Vancouver have been ordered to suspend temporary visa services”
“In response to Security situation “Following review and consideration of recent steps taken by Canada in this regard, it has been decided to reinstate visa services for the following categories from October 26.”
